Philly Neighborhoods Networks (PNN) is a grassroots, independent, and progressive political organization that has worked since 2004 to be a force for positive change. We redesigned their logo to inspire and unite
their members around a shared vision for the city. As part of a “logo sprint,” an abbreviated version of our branding process that helps mission-based organizations build a visual brand identity quickly and affordably, we met with PNN Board Members to get to the heart of their work and translate it into a logo that can be recognized by Philly neighbors as “of a place” and representative of their work to connect neighbors around
a mission for justice in elections, education, the economy, and more. The design was inspired by our conversations with the PNN team where we learned about how they help members feel engaged, powerful, informed, and capable. Creating dialogue around the political and emotional resonance of other social justice organizations’ brands helped us refine the design and arrive at a new logo that is ready for the next community meeting or protest march.
